TAKING LIFE ONE STEP AT A TIME

Hello guys, let’s talk.

The other day, I came across a tweet by Miss Erica Nlewedim which read- “I’m an actress, a brand ambassador, a lifestyle and travel influencer, an entrepreneur, I also have an NGO, I have a YouTube page, right now my focus is on acting and being a brand ambassador, I’m one human being and I will focus on what’s relevant to my stage in life at a time.”

As random as this tweet has seemed, I felt that message there was for me. Erica talked about being many things but deciding to focus on the most important thing to her now. I realized that I’ve been caught up lately trying to build my brand, start a business, volunteer, and so many other things I hope to achieve. As a result, I’ve been overwhelmed. IT DAWNED ON ME that I was trying to do everything at once instead of focusing on the most important thing for me at this particular season.

We have goals, vision, and things we hope to achieve, and some of us have set deadlines within which we hope to accomplish these goals. However, it’s time to take a pause and face these things one at a time. Learn to take one step at a time. Identify what season you’re currently in and focus on the most important thing for that particular phase of your life.

It could be that this is the time for you to focus on your professional goals and not that business you want to start or the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) you want to set up. When we decide to take things easy, believing that for each step we take, we have God’s blessings, and when we give our best to it, the result always turns out beautiful.

I leave you with this wise word from the Holy Bible Ecclesiastes 3:1 -8

(English Standard Version)

For everything, there is a season,

and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die;

a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;

a time to kill, and a time to heal;

a time to break down, and a time to build up;

a time to weep, and a time to laugh;

a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;

a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

a time to seek, and a time to lose;

a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

a time to tear, and a time to sew;

a time to stay silent, and a time to speak;

a time to love, and a time to hate;

a time for war and a time for peace.

Have a beautiful weekend. See you next time.
